Velo Plumbing provides complex plumbing solutions to on high-end residential and commercial construction projects. With an impressive portfolio of projects completed, and many more in the pipeline, director Daniel Rimmer wanted to refresh his brand to reflect the calibre of work his team had earned a reputation for completing.
Beans developed a new brand kit including logo, colour palette, and brand device - forming the basis for the creation of a suite of new assets including website and marketing collateral.
Like many businesses in the construction space, Velo's existing brand was more or less just a logo that had been created quickly to get the business up and running. Just like Dan had done years ago, Beans used this existing logo as a starting point to develop the Velo brand. As always, we began by looking for opportunities within the logo, taking away what was not necessary to eventually form the new logo mark.
Taking inspiration from the minimalist and sophisticated brands found in the architectural industry, some of whom design the homes that Velo help to build, we were able to find a simple yet elegant solution. We carried this architectural aesthetic throughout the brand execution using a monochromatic colour palette to elevate the beautiful projects Velo had been an integral part of.
The resulting brand avoided many of the cliches and visual puns often seen in the plumbing industry, and in turn differentiated Velo from the competition.
Taking cues from architectural websites, Beans designed the Velo Plumbing website to elevate the stunning projects they had completed over the years.
By conducting extensive research and compiling a thorough brand strategy, Beans was able to craft compelling copy for the website. The resulting content across the website demonstrates the confidence and expertise of the Velo team to their niche target audience of high-end builders and project managers.
In rounding out the brand, Beans created various pieces of marketing collateral for the new and improved Velo Plumbing. Among these pieces were business cards, letterhead, email signatures, uniforms, merchandise, vehicle wraps and office signage.
